Positive Results Through Positive Reinforcement.dog

Angel Pups Dog Training provides responsible dog training and relationship development to dog owners in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Using positive training methods that focus on positive reinforcement, we work with you and your canine companion to develop a rewarding system the reinforces good behavior.

What we do:

We advocate positive training methods which use positive reinforcement, luring and clicker training. Your dog learns through these methods that good behaviors mean “good things for the dog”. Positive reinforcement rewards him with something that is of value to him for the behaviors that you want him to perform. Luring uses treats to encourage him to offer you the behavior you are looking for. Clicker training uses a reward marker to communicate to the dog the instant he does something good and has earned a reward.

What we don’t do:

We do not use force. We do not physically punish. We do not use choke chains or prong collars. We do not jerk on the leash. We do not use intimidation. We do not force the dog to submit. These methods only teach your dog to fear you.

Message from the Owner.

I love dogs. I always have. For me personally, there is no better companion animal. They love unconditionally. If you want to know how to live life to the fullest, watch a dog playing outside in the sunshine, how they enjoy the simplest of things.

I have a very strong bond with my Pug, Velvet. She came into my life at a period in time when I needed her most. She makes me laugh every day. She comforts me when I need it. All the negatives of a given day are washed away when I walk through that door and see her just so happy to have me home. I want everyone to be able to have this feeling with their dog.

My goal in founding Angel Pups Dog Training, LLC is to teach people how to communicate with their canine companions, to form a strong bond between them or to strengthen an already existing bond. I believe in treating all animals and life with respect. There are ways to train a dog to behave well without using force and physical punishment. So many wonderful dogs end up in shelters everyday for behavior issues. These issues could be prevented with proper training from the beginning.

If you're thinking of getting a dog/puppy, PLEASE, do the research. Make sure you are committed to taking care of this being for the duration of his life. Don't choose a breed just because it is "popular" or "cute". Purebred dogs were bred for a function. Educate yourself on the breed, on the dog's temperment and care and exercise requirements. Make sure your lifestyle is compatible with the dog you want to bring into your home. If getting a dog from a breeder, research the breeder, make sure he/she is reputable and responsible. Finally, don't forget your local shelter or rescue groups as well when looking for a dog. There are so many wonderful dogs out there in need of loving, forever homes.

If I can help even one dog and his/her family co-exist peacefully and lovingly, I will have fulfilled my goal.

Have a POSITIVE day with your canine companion.
